“The Jaguar I-Pace is a pure electric car and sportier alternative to the Tesla Model X SUV. It’s great to drive and luxurious inside, but does cost a fair amount to buy.”

“It’s sure-footed and fun with a top speed of 124 mph. Yet it still promises a range of 298 miles — or just enough battery charge to drive from London to Newcastle — on one overnight charge.”

“With a combination of all-wheel drive, instantaneous acceleration, an achievable range of 230 miles and bold styling, the zero-emission I-Pace places Jaguar at the forefront of the all-electric crossover segment. For the time being at least, its German premium rivals are now hot on its tail.”

“The I-Pace is a game changer for a different market. If you want zero emissions, a confidence-inspiring electric driving range, a practical body style, a feel-good interior, as well as all-wheel drive traction, rapid performance, and, crucially, a rewarding driving experience, at this moment in time the Jaguar I-Pace is the top choice. In fact it’s really the only choice.”

“The Jaguar I-Pace manages to take the style and practicality of an SUV, and the feel-good-factor and low running costs of an EV, and wrap it all up in one package that’s fun to drive and a pleasure to live with. It’s definitely worthy of your consideration.”

“If you’re thinking of making the jump to electric, you may wish to wait until Audi’s new e-tron SUV arrives later this year. Jaguar might have got there first, but if the e-tron combines a typical Audi interior with lots of tech and a useable electric range, it might give the Jaguar a hard time.”

“One of the original large premium SUV EVs, and arguably still one of the best. There are rivals that can travel further on a charge or carry more people and things, but none is as fun to drive, comfortable and easy to live with as the Jaguar I-Pace. It also still looks as sharp as the day it was launched.” (James Disdale)
